Big Plans Ahead at Simtec: New Bays, New Spaces & a Game-Changing Putting Studio

At Simtec, we’re always focused on one thing: helping golfers train better, practise smarter, and enjoy the game all year round. Over the coming months, we’re taking a huge step forward with new locations, new TrackMan bays, and a purpose-built indoor putting studio designed exclusively for our members.

Here’s what’s coming — and why it matters.

April: Berkhamsted Opening 🏌🏻‍♂️

This April marks a major milestone for Simtec with the opening of our Berkhamsted location.

The new space will include:

  • One additional TrackMan bay
  • A fully integrated golf shop
  • Space designed for fittings, practice, and performance improvement

This expansion allows us to serve more golfers while maintaining the premium, data-driven experience Simtec is known for. Whether you’re dialling in your driver, gapping your irons, or preparing for the season ahead, Berkhamsted gives us the room to do it properly.

May: Kings Langley Members-Only Putting Green 🎯

In May, Kings Langley takes a big leap forward with the installation of a members-only indoor putting green — something we’ve wanted to build for a long time.

This won’t be a basic flat surface. It’s a purpose-built putting studio designed to replicate real on-course challenges and help golfers improve where it matters most.

Putting Green Features:

  • 5-hole layout
  • Breaking putts and straight putts
  • Uphill and downhill scenarios
  • Realistic speed and roll for true feedback

Short game is where shots are saved — and this space gives our members the ability to train it properly, whatever the weather.

Putting Lessons Coming Soon 🧠

Alongside the new putting green, we’ll also be introducing dedicated putting lessons.

These sessions will focus on:

  • Putting technique and setup
  • Distance control
  • Green reading
  • Pressure and routine building

Whether you’re struggling inside six feet or trying to eliminate three-putts, structured putting practice can be one of the fastest ways to lower scores — and we’re excited to offer this as part of the Simtec experience.

October: Ready for Next Winter ❄️

As we head towards autumn, we’re already preparing for next winter’s demand.

Planned upgrades include:

  • Capacity for additional members
  • Another TrackMan bay at Kings Langley
  • Bringing the total to four TrackMan bays
  • A new upstairs performance bay

This ensures members always have access to high-quality practice space, even during peak winter months when outdoor golf becomes unpredictable.

Why This Matters

These upgrades aren’t just about adding more space — they’re about raising the standard of indoor golf practice.

By combining:

  • World-class TrackMan technology
  • A dedicated short-game environment
  • Structured coaching opportunities
  • Member-first access

Simtec continues to build an environment where golfers can improve consistently, all year round.
